I went there a few times when I was in Dublin and I can say that it's really a nice place where to spend the night drinking and listening to music.
Almost every night there was a band playing, obviously the place was more crowded during weekends....
Porterhouse is a big local situated in the centre of Temple Bar: it's a fantastic pub distributed on three different floors, always full of young people, with many tables and bars. Between the second and third floors, there's a little place where everyday playing live; the prices are normal, there's always a lot of people. Also there're a lot of kind of beers, the inevitable Guinness, Kilkenny and the good Oyster Lager. Worth a visit..
The porterhouse is a beautiful pub located in Temple Bar, the center of Dublin, that is always full of people. Here you can listen traditional live music almost every night, drink a beer with friends and have dinner with a great hamburger (chicken meat, big size and good taste), chips and beer at reasonable prices.
I have been in Dublin three years ago and the porterhouse is one of the most beautiful pub I've seen here. I recommend you to see this pub at least once in your life!
The PorterHouse? I suppose they should let me own a table...
In 2007 I had been two times in Dublin, 6 days in march and 2 days in august, and *each single evening* I used to have dinner and drink there.
A three floors typical irish pub with a very good food&drink&beer menu. I do love the coriander chicken and chunky chips... never found anything like them anywere.
And what about beers? So many brands, the real Temple Bar beer... and... ciders! Lots of ciders, not just Bulmers or Kopparberg!
From 9:30 pm to midnight then the show on the stage starts: great guitarists and bands live.
I guess it's clear that there'll be a third time in Dublin... and Porter!
